Both parties play an outstanding role in defending the unity of the international communist movement, in strengthening solidarity among peoples, and in the common struggle against the imperialist offensive that is deepening in our time.

We are living through a moment of intensification of the contradictions of the capitalist system and the advance of the imperialist offensive on a global scale. This offensive manifests itself through wars, sanctions, economic blockades, political pressure, and attempts to destabilize sovereign countries. It unfolds in a context of the structural crisis of capitalism, marked by increasingly fierce disputes over markets, natural resources, and spheres of influence.

The combination of economic crisis, political instability, and technological advancement intensifies competition among major powers, raising the risk of conflicts and deepening international tensions. In Palestine, we are witnessing an ongoing genocide against its people in one of the most brutal expressions of imperialist violence in today’s world. What is happening in Gaza cannot be normalized. We are facing the systematic destruction of a people and the denial of their right to existence and self-determination.

The government of Israel, under the leadership of Benjamin Netanyahu, is pursuing a war policy that promotes genocide against the Palestinian people and expands instability throughout the region. Thousands of Palestinian children have been killed, injured, or deprived of the most basic conditions for survival. These are lives cut short, childhoods destroyed, an entire future being attacked before the eyes of the world. The Palestinian cause today stands as a central cause in the struggle of peoples against imperialism and demands from all of us not only solidarity, but firm positioning and consistent political action.

In the Middle East, we are witnessing the war against Iran, in a scenario of direct attacks and growing instability. At the same time, Israel continues to bomb Lebanon, striking densely populated areas, expanding the humanitarian tragedy and the spread of conflict in the region. These processes are part of a broader dynamic of resistance to the loss of imperialist hegemony by the United States.

In this context, it is essential to highlight the role of NATO as a central instrument of military expansion and confrontation policy in various regions of the world. The expansion of its presence directly contributes to worsening international tensions and increasing the risk of large-scale conflicts. In light of this, we reaffirm the need to strengthen the struggle for world peace.

In this context, Cuba continues to be the target of a systematic policy of suffocation. The small and courageous island, located less than 150 kilometers from the largest empire in the world, has resisted for more than 65 years a criminal blockade imposed by the United States, which in the past year has intensified, further worsening the living conditions of its people. We are facing a permanent aggression against its sovereignty and a continuous attempt to suffocate a historical experience that dared to affirm its independence.

But Cuba resists and its resistance occurs thanks to one heroic people, who over decades have demonstrated extraordinary dignity, firmness, and commitment to their sovereign project. Cuba thus remains not only a country, but a living symbol of resistance and hope for the peoples of the world. We reaffirm that solidarity with Cuba is a historical responsibility and must be expressed through concrete actions on the political, diplomatic, and also material fields.

In Brazil we face a strategic battle. In a context in which the country is preparing for new elections, this dispute becomes even more relevant and is directly connected to confronting far-right forces at the ballot box next October. The imperialist offensive, especially under the leadership of Donald Trump, seeks to reposition its global hegemony through pressure on sovereign countries such as Brazil. This strategy directly impacts our country, attempting to limit its autonomy, its international role, and its participation in initiatives such as BRICS Plus and the strengthening of the Global South.

At the same time, this offensive is articulated with internal forces, especially the Bolsonaro-aligned far right, which acts as a political vector of this agenda and promises to hand Brazil and its wealth over to Trump. This far right group does not operate only on the electoral plane. It mobilizes instruments of disinformation, digital platforms, and international networks to influence public opinion, attack institutions, and destabilize governments.

In this scenario, it is impossible to ignore the harmful role of large digital platforms, the so-called big techs. These companies operate as vehicles for the dissemination of disinformation, algorithmic manipulation, and the spread of fake news, influencing political processes, fueling hatred, and contributing to the erosion of democratic life and the destabilization of governments. We are facing a global phenomenon that articulates economic, technological, and political interests in the reproduction of reactionary agendas.

Therefore, in Brazil, the struggle against the far right is directly linked to the defense of national sovereignty and the fight against imperialism. Our main battle this year is to elect President Lula again to stop fascism and protect our democracy.

In Latin America, this offensive manifests itself in a particularly acute manner. We are witnessing serious external intervention, with military, political, and economic dimensions across the region. It must be noted that in South America, President Nicolás Maduro and First Lady and Deputy Cilia Flores from Venezuela were kidnapped in a military operation conducted by the United States; that there are attempts by imperialism to destabilize presidential elections in Colombia; that an agreement has been signed with Paraguay allowing the militarization of the country by U.S. armed forces; and that other countries such as Chile, Bolivia, Peru, and Ecuador are part of the “Shield of the Americas” formed by the White House to legitimize interference in our region and threaten national sovereignty.

We also observe important transformations in the international scenario as China emerges as an important global power, provoking the bellicose anger of the United States. Its economic strength, its capacity to influence key global value chains while addressing its internal social issues, and the role of its diplomacy in defending multilateralism make China a reference for the construction of socialism in the 21st century. The strengthening of the Global South and the growing role of groupings such as BRICS Plus point to possibilities for building a new international order that overcomes the one inherited from the post World War II period, an order marked by progressive de-dollarization and focused on sovereignty, cooperation, and development among nations.

In light of this scenario, we consider it essential to reaffirm some points. First, the struggle against imperialism and the advance of reactionary forces requires political breadth and the capacity to build convergences. Second, it is essential to value the concrete experiences of building socialism in our time, which remain living references of the anti-imperialist struggle. Third, unity in action is indispensable.

We know that there are differences among parties, but these differences must not prevent cooperation, solidarity, and the construction of common actions. We reaffirm the importance of preserving mutual respect among parties, ensuring the autonomy of each organization, and avoiding direct attacks among ourselves. This is a fundamental path for the International Meeting of Communist and Workers’ Parties to remain a space for dialogue, convergence, and collective construction.

This means strengthening international campaigns, expanding political and social mobilization, online and in the streets, and promoting effective initiatives of support for peoples facing imperialist aggression.

We fully agree that the theme proposed for our meeting in Havana is extremely appropriate. We need to defend and honor the legacy of the Cuban Revolution and of Fidel to affirm a fundamental historical reference of the anti-imperialist struggle. Cuba remains a symbol of the resistance of peoples in the face of the imperialist offensive. The historical responsibility before us is immense.

In a world marked by war, inequality, and imperialist aggression, the coordinated action of communist and workers’ parties is more necessary than ever. That’s why we agree with the proposed resolution for this meeting prepared by TKP and CPC.

Receive a warm embrace from the Communist Party of Brazil and all its militants, who confidently believe in and build, every day, the conditions for a socialist world on the path to communism.

Thank you very much.

Comrades, Today, April 19, 2026, in Istanbul, a city of profound historical richness, a symbol of the meeting of peoples, cultures, and continents, and also a place of the struggles of workers and progressive forces, in the name of the Communist Party of Brazil, PCdoB, I would like to warmly greet all the parties present […]

[3
191,251,180
post-11234","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-pcdob-pronunciamentos","tag-eipco","tag-movimento-comunista","tag-pcdob
["GET
